Review from the 2023 New Orleans Bourbon Festival: Typical rye on the nose but with some hints of savory as well. Nice vanilla on the palate with a sweet and spicy medium length finish. A true gateway rye.
It starts with graham cracker and pipe tobacco, has a sweet middle with notes of orange, peach, and cherry, and finishes with baking spice and cinnamon.
A well-rounded rye spice with tannins and an intensifying spicy rye note. A burst of vanilla alongside faint eucalyptus. The finish is of moderate duration.
A spicy yet velvety character with panettone flavors and a buttery conclusion.
