This bottle was opened some time ago, and I've sampled it several times during small whiskey gatherings with friends. The price was high ($550), but dividing it among five people made the additional cost per person seem 'okay'. Regarding the assessment... the aroma is intensely fruity. Raspberry, strawberry, and cherry are all noticeable, creating a wonderful scent. There's abundant brown sugar, fondant, and buttercream, indicating sweetness. However, there's also some oak present, not overwhelming, which maintains balance. Overall, quite pleasing... The taste is also quite good, continuing the sweeter profile. Cherry syrup flavor that verges on medicinal but isn't unpleasant; it's more like dark fruit with hints of vanilla and spice. It's *good*, but perhaps due to the prominent cherry or another element, it doesn't quite reach *great* for me. Excellent thickness – this whiskey has noticeable viscosity. If presented to me without knowledge of its identity, I'd appreciate the drink, but it seems more in the $150-$200 range. Honestly, I'd be let down if I had paid $500-$550 for it alone. It doesn't justify the cost, but regardless, it's a damn fine whiskey within this bottle...

Wild Turkey Generations represents a limited edition release, notable as the first joint effort involving three generations of the Russell family: Jimmy, Eddie, and Bruce Russell. This grandfather, father, and son team selected four high-proof bourbons for the blend, aged 9, 12, 14, and 15 years. Only 5,000 bottles of this limited release were produced, each bearing the etched signatures of all three Russells. Bottled at barrel proof and without chill-filtration, it has a proof of 120.8 and began appearing at select retailers nationwide in November 2023. (SRP $450)

Thrilled to finally try this. A blend of spirits aged 9, 12, 14, and 15 years, bottled at barrel proof -120.8. The aroma is fantastic: bright cherry candy (like a jar of maraschinos), caramel, toffee, and chocolate cake with frosting. It has an oily, thick texture, with more oak presence than anticipated. Hints of vanilla and baking spices emerge. The finish lingers, bringing more vanilla and a touch of spicy tobacco. It's almost flawless; the only thing holding it back from a perfect score is the noticeable oak. Perhaps that makes it a 4.9 instead of a 5.0.
Aroma: raspberry pastry, grape, wood, and brown sugar. Taste: more raspberry, grape, and wood with added cherry juice and varying sugar levels. A truly wonderful bourbon with an incredible mouthfeel and finish. Definitely one of the best bourbons or spirits I have ever sampled.
