I had the chance to acquire this bottle at auction a couple of months back and finally got around to trying it today. I've encountered numerous excellent reviews for it, and as a fan of the brand, I had to get one when the opportunity arose. I've been a silent follower for a while, and decided to start contributing since this community has provided me with so much insight for my most costly hobby. So, let's dive in! Nose: Sweet cherries, orange zest, dark caramel (almost salty), vanilla, cinnamon, sugar cookie dough, orange cream soda, and a significant amount of ethanol. This aroma suggests the whiskey is very potent. Palate: CINNAMON GALORE, sweet rich caramel, orange juice, cherry syrup, and a deep, rich, complex oak foundation. It's full-bodied and smooth, not as overpowering as the nose implied. Finish: Butterscotch, maple syrup, melted gooey caramel, rich oak, cherries, and oak tannins that create a lingering finish for days. This is the finest bourbon I possess. No question. Yes, I spent close to $240 at auction for it, but it's worth it to me. I believe the profound oak character is everything I seek in a classic, well-aged bourbon, and this delivers! I truly feel this is the best bourbon I own, and I will treasure it forever.

This is fantastic in every way. It's not aged enough to have that funk, but wow, this is close to ideal. Perhaps it's sentimentality, but whatever you call it, it hits all the right notes: sweet, a little spicy, oily, coating the entire mouth. The finish is medium-long with hints of citrus and cinnamon. It tastes like November in a glass.

I'm eager for this to develop further. It perfectly embodies the spirit of WT, offering sweetness, spice, and oak notes with cinnamon and just the right amount of warmth. It creates a tingling sensation on the tongue and has an exceptional mouthfeel (a nod to a friend). Fall is the season for Turkey, and I've secured a great one.
