Batch 20, Barrel 36, Bottle 84. Aged 4 years and 6 months. Composition: 68% rye, 8% wheat, 12% malted barley, 12% corn. Conclusion: Incredibly smooth, no rough edges, but the taste profile doesn't quite come together. It feels disconnected and incomplete. It seems a waste to use a unique single barrel for mixing, but I doubt I'll finish this bottle on its own. A light reddish-gold honey hue. Quite thin. Legs are far apart. On the nose, a straightforward, solitary aroma that is appealing. Very sugary vanilla and honey with a touch of cherry. You sense its potential for fruitiness, but a dominant, unidentifiable note overshadows it. Most of the time, it smells dull, as if the high notes are missing. A pity, because the other elements are quite good. Maybe it's an underdeveloped grain flavor, missing the toasted grain sweetness. Thin on the palate. A similar dullness appears instantly. It's like tasting a mouth full of neutral oil. Bland like cardboard, gradually giving way to a subtle minty sweetness, similar to the lingering taste of a breath mint. Hints of black pepper and a mellow, savory nuttiness, like an almond or chestnut. A quick taste emphasizes the mint, making it enjoyable and coating the mouth. The label suggests a cedar note, which I think I can detect. The finish is quite long and satisfying, possibly the strongest aspect of this spirit, rivaling the appealing yet unfinished aroma.

Very distinctive taste. Nearly like a Rye whiskey or from MGP. But it has its own character. Smells sweet but the taste is different. Spicy like black pepper, sweetness, after tasting, you can sense an earthy aroma like wet soil after rain. It has character and a special identity. It might not be the best Rye, but it’s unique
The tasting notes on the bottle for cherry, black pepper, caramel, and cinnamon were accurate. Really good.
Tastes like a cherry vanilla cream soda that's aged. Quite good in a mixed drink.
Excellent rye whiskey. You can sense black pepper and a rainforest in the glass.
