It presents a strong spice of cinnamon and allspice with a sweet cherry and vanilla base. On the palate the spirit is intensely spicy, but not to the point of dominating the flavor. The drink possesses remarkable complexity. It begins with a light oakiness that shifts to sweet cherry and spice. It's hard to discern individual spices in the flavor. Vanilla is present throughout, and the faintest hint of chocolate appears in the finish. The whisky has a potent bite that settles into a pleasant warmth in the chest. Best enjoyed neat and undiluted. Too good for mixing or diluting with ice.
