First taste: Straight away, it was quite harsh with significant heat. Second taste: After adding a rock, more flavors emerged, including raisins and later, apples in the finish. Purchased at the New Hampshire State store on I-95.

A store clerk in Maine pointed me toward this excellent bourbon. It has a bit of heat but is quite smooth with a fantastic oak character. It's rather sweet, not fruity.
