I can scarcely find any details about this beyond what's on the bottle. I did enjoy their 10 and 12 year expressions, so this seemed like a reasonable risk. Batch #6, Bottle #466, bottled in 2022. Let's discover its character. Nose: Vanilla, honey, toffee, and toasted marshmallow. Brown sugar. Hints of mint and a subtle floral note. Caramelized apple. Raisin and dried apricot. Toasted almond and walnut. Black pepper, clove, nutmeg, and oak spice. Palate: Chewy caramel and milk chocolate. Brown sugar. Toffee, vanilla, and sugar cookie. Pronounced ginger, black pepper, rye, and even pumpkin spice. Dried apricot, gala apple, and a touch of black cherry. Mocha. Candied yam. Orange citrus. Cocoa, black tea, and pipe smoke. Abundant oak. Finish: Toffee, caramel, milk chocolate, vanilla, and brown sugar. Gala apple and dried apricot. Toasted almond and walnut. Pipe smoke, black tea, and cocoa. Black pepper, ginger, clove, nutmeg, and oak. Moderately long, leaning towards the longer side. I'm very pleased I acquired this. It's certainly the best Widow Jane product I've tried so far. 100 proof with a 10-year age statement? Quite respectable. It simply embodies a classic, rich bourbon profile executed flawlessly. I've encountered individuals in bars who were absolutely convinced it couldn't be bourbon unless produced in Kentucky, legally speaking. Not only is that demonstrably false, but this also proves that the spirit of bourbon can be achieved anywhere under the right conditions. As I mentioned, 10 years, 100 proof. At $86, this was definitely worth the cost. It's exceptionally rare to find both a respectable age and ABV in the same bottle. Widow Jane truly celebrated their 10th anniversary in grand fashion with this release. If you're fortunate enough to come across one of these on the shelf now, I strongly urge you to buy it. 4.75/5.

To me, the taste is quite intricate. Hints of maple sweetness are followed by spices such as bay leaf and black pepper.
