A lovely Bourbon from Woodford Reserve, the double XO Blend, is something I must tell you about. It's stated to be a mix of Kentucky Straight Bourbons, with a finish in heavily toasted XO Cognac Casks. "XO" signifies "Extra Old," suggesting considerable flavor. Bottled at 45.2% ABV, its color is an incredibly appealing red copper. The nose presents an exceptional maraschino cherry note, a first for me in a whiskey, along with lemon, a robust oregano-like herbal scent, and sawdust. After the initial taste, strawberry marmalade, moka with caramel, and Brigadeiro sweets emerged. It's truly remarkable. The cherry flavor intensified on the palate, offering beautifully sweet red fruits, fruit spice, and a hint of orange peel. The finish continues this theme with cherry syrup and macerated fruit liquor. It's amazingly well-made. In summary, this is a sweet, unforgettable dram. Cherry enthusiasts will have their senses overwhelmed. It's thoroughly enjoyable, earning a well-deserved 95 out of 100.

The best whiskey I've had to date. Very smooth, rich, oily, and a long finish that doesn't burn. You can tell it was aged in XO casks.

Similar to Double Oak but with more fruit on the nose and less brown sugar on the palate. Delicious.
