Nose: raisins, reminiscent of a passito as if some of the aging barrels were of that type. Powerful and full nose, truly exceptional: I could smell it for hours. Palate: pungent, less marsala than the nose, here comes caramel, almonds, still raisins. It loses points. Medium short coffee finish. What can I say, for the sense of smell a superb thing, which however gets lost in the rest especially when compared to the price. Rating 3.75
