Located in Illinois, Whiskey Acres is a farm-to-glass operation that cultivates all its own grains. For this spirit, the distillery utilized a mash bill consisting of 75% blue popcorn, 15% soft red winter wheat, and 10% malted barley. It has been aged for a minimum of four years and is presented at 48.5% ABV.

Nose: vanilla, maple, touch of caramel Taste: deep, sweet, toasted, oak, peppery finish This finish sends warmth from your middle outwards. A truly remarkable batch from Whiskey Acres!
The aroma is very strong with tannic, oaky characteristics. The flavor profile is surprisingly different. Exceptionally sweet with notes of candied fruit and a maple chewiness. Very pleasant and easy to drink neat.
This is absolutely one of the top bourbons I've experienced. It's sweet, warming, and packed with taste. It meets all my criteria for an amazing bourbon. It's fantastic to witness the output from Illinois.
