This annual bottling, part of the distillery's Artisan Series, is made with a mash bill consisting of 75% Bloody Butcher corn, 15% soft winter wheat, and 10% malted barley. The proof typically hovers around 95.

Aroma - Licorice, wood, baking spice, floral notes Flavor - Licorice, pepper, floral, red hots This pour has a soft initial bite on the tongue and builds that heat to a medium finish, delivering that red hots flavor. The finish is long and warming. Drinks nicely after airing out in the glass for about 5-10 minutes.
The aroma is very subtle, featuring baking spices with a hint of apples and tannins. The taste is very floral and mild. There's a slight burn but it's very drinkable. The finish was a bit flat, but overall a solid pour.
The corn flavor is prominent upfront, with a burning sensation at the front of the mouth. It's sweet, but not excessively so.
