Wheel Horse Rye is a straight rye produced at the O.Z. Tyler Distillery in Owensboro, Kentucky. Its mash bill consists of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. Aged for 2-3 years in 53-gallon new, charred American oak barrels, it is bottled at 101 proof without chill-filtration. The product was launched in select US markets in January 2020.

A light, spicy aroma with a hint of clover honey sweetness. The body has notes of salted nuts, toffee, cereal, and vanilla, along with some wood. It finishes with medium oakiness. One of the best value ryes available.
Wheel Horse is to rye what Old Tub is to bourbon: a young, light rye with clover honey on the palate. It might be too unusual for most, but I enjoy it.
Terrible... I wouldn't spend more than $10 on another bottle. I gave it to someone who will mix it with cola. Otherwise, it would have been discarded.
Very balanced with caramel and brown sugar notes. Exhaling through the nose provides an excellent post-nasal experience. A great value for under $30.
An excellent rye, particularly for its price under $30! It starts with a pleasant sweetness, followed by rye spice on the finish. It's very smooth for a 101 proof spirit.
The aroma is overwhelmingly rye and straw for my taste. Still, a good classic rye. Excellent price point.
