About this bottle

Westland, based in Seattle, focuses on an American approach to single malt whiskey. This high-proof, limited edition bottling incorporates a blend of five locally sourced barleys: Washington Select Pale Malt, Munich Malt, Extra Special Malt, Pale Chocolate Malt, and Brown Malt. It is aged for a minimum of 46 months and this particular single cask was matured in a new American oak barrel with heavy char.

Lamont Brant 5.0

At the Olympia Flight Museum Distillery Event in 2017, this was excellent. It was the highlight of the show for me. The current overall rating seems quite inaccurate. The nose is great, it's sweet, smoky, and very easy to drink.

Antoine Mohamed 5.0

Sweet and buttery, with a pleasantly rich texture. A solid barley foundation is evident, showcasing the best qualities of a traditional bourbon.

Delbert Rojas 3.0

A little bit of medicinal sweetness. Reminded me of more standard Bourbon. Did not feel as balanced as expected.

Sophia Dupont 4.0

Tried in Bellevue. Very enjoyable!
