Westland Distillery's Barley Series highlights the potential of barley through a collection of whiskeys, each featuring a distinct malted barley type and its resultant flavor profile. These three whiskeys were matured for 49 to 50 months in ex-bourbon casks from Heaven Hill and were fermented using Belgian Brewer's yeast. Cask #2508, made with Pilsen malt from Bestmalz, is characterized by a light, delicate malt flavor and is typically employed in brewing pale lager beers, being a combination of multiple barley varieties.
