This Blended Malt, a 2012 Silver medal winner at the International Spirits Challenge, is centered around honey as its name suggests. Bottled at 40% ABV, the nose presents cola, coffee, chocolate, almonds, and a faint honey and caramel note; not the overwhelming honey experience anticipated. The palate is very drinkable, featuring honey, almonds, peanuts, and dried fruits with a pleasant, mild oakiness. The finish is rewarding and easy, with honey, almonds, vanilla powder, and a hint of clove spice. While not a complex whisky and perhaps suited for beginners, it's not bad, just not my preference. Rated 68/100.
