A younger sibling to the Wemyss malt "The Hive 12yo," this actually challenges the notion that "older is always better" because, in my opinion, this expression is more well-rounded than the 12-year-old. Bottled at 46% ABV. On the nose, it's neither good nor bad. Acetone, vanilla, honey, dry cake, caramel, dulce de leche, sawdust, almonds, and hazelnut. On the palate, it's a fairly good dram. Pineapple, tropical fruits, and very refined honey, the most delightful honey note ever. Very similar to pancakes. The aftertaste is also nice, perhaps too standard. Tobacco, ginger. Medium finish. Overall, this is a straightforward dram, but not a bad whisky at all. 84 out of 100. For the price, it's good.

Good. Oily and sweetness from honey. Nothing remarkable.
Tasted at Dramfest in 2018. It was okay. Scored 2.5.
