(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual Whisky Tasting, 09 April 2021). Aroma: Sherry, orchard fruit, sugar sweetness Palate: Ginger, spice, sherry, orchard fruit / plums, stewed fruit, coffee Finish: Long finish with nutty/spicy notes. An oily weightiness is present on the finish, with earthy/leathery undertones. The finish has many 'darker' notes. A pleasant spicy, dark fruit note is present throughout. It's quite layered and complex. There's also a slightly earthy funkiness that doesn't quite align with the aroma, creating a somewhat disjointed sensation in the dram. Ranked 3rd out of the six drams, receiving 16% of the final vote for favorite of the night. 81% of attendees enjoyed the whisky.
