N: Faint but not green nose. Grain character is noticeable. Possibly a bit young. P: Starts out young and grainy, then transforms into something quite delightful. It’s sweet and smooth, followed by tannins. This is truly fascinating. It resembles a perfectly adjusted 5-year Bourbon. I perceive it as being a single step away from a light whiskey, but in the most positive way. I'm also just realizing this is at 121.8 proof and drinks like 105. If you're seeking an exceptionally well-crafted young whiskey, this is it! I anticipated bold Char level 5 flavors, but I'm instead encountering something compelling that I want to revisit. I'm also just now noting the oily texture. It has a slight papery quality of a younger Bourbon, but I genuinely enjoy it! It feels like the result of a challenge: 'Here's a young whiskey, make it memorable and incredibly easy to drink by any means necessary,' and the response was successful! F: The finish lingers. It almost becomes dark chocolate but then retreats. I'm not doing this justice currently, but I can say I am eager to return and explore it further. If this develops even slightly, the score could increase by half a point. If you're looking for a 'What is that?' whiskey to add to your collection, this would be an excellent choice! As I continue to experience it, it evolves into baking spices with a hint of something like 60% dark chocolate.

Nose - Dulce de leche, caramel, vanilla, some tobacco, salted burnt caramel, oak, and leather, with a hint of bitter dark berry. Palate - A palate punch with white pepper, bitter leather, light herbs, vanilla, and cinnamon. Finish - Herbal leather and vanilla extract.
From Batch 4 at 61.3% ABV. The aroma is thick with apricot and wood shavings. Heat is present but not harsh. Tastes like a cashew caramel bar with a cherry lozenge. The texture is viscous. The finish is exceptionally buttery.
