We may have received an unfortunate batch, but after tasting this with friends, the shared opinion was that it's truly harsh. We poured it out. It tasted like I imagine paint thinner or nail polish remover would. Adding a few drops of water didn't reveal any bourbon flavors; instead, it tasted like cough syrup. I sincerely hope I was just unlucky with a bad batch, as I've genuinely wanted to support this smaller distillery. Extremely disappointed.

It requires some patience to reveal itself, but it's quite enjoyable. The apple note is somewhat understated, yet I'm pleased with it overall.
The apple notes are fantastic. Extremely smooth finish.
Robust flavor, enjoyable served over ice.
