Shania Woodward 2.0

A blended malt with no age statement from MacDuff. They do not disclose any of the sourced distilleries. They claim a significant portion of this spirit comes from sherry casks. It is colored and chill-filtered. The aroma is a weak and indistinct blend of classic Speyside and sherry. The palate has a high alcohol content but low flavor. Barely any fruit or sherry notes are present. Very bland overall. This has the characteristics of a cheap blend rather than a blended malt. The finish is short and empty, aside from the impact of the high alcohol content. Adding water does not improve it. This is one of the worst blended malts I've encountered. Only suitable for mixing.

Coleen Metzger 3.0

Approachable and easy to drink. A mild, pleasant flavor, but it's unremarkable.
