Consumed neat, the last bit from the bottle, without ice. This dram has thick legs. Nose: Floral, like a garden. Silky smooth. Shows no sign of its 50% alcohol, crisp, with green apple and tobacco notes. Palate: Heather and honey, smooth and not distinct, like a toddler's fists on a submarine; there's a lot going on but nothing stands out or dominates the flavor, yet there's much to discern. Like an Arrowroot biscuit, soft yet smooth. Finish: Silky smooth, soft yet it lingered. Clean like a crisp apple, dry but persistent. Like a cucumber from the garden, not intense but it won't fade.

The nose is very sweet, reminiscent of cinnamon and caramel. The palate offers something different, with a cereal character, like barley, alongside dried fruit, hints of honey, and pepper. It's very warm and well-balanced. A quite enjoyable and simple whiskey that reveals increasing complexity as you drink it.

It doesn't measure up to an Irish whiskey. It lacks the expected fruitiness and, at this price, it's not average.

Unpleasant scent. Fig-like, spicy aftertaste. The flavor persists.
