This received a score of 5 due to the experience. I had it in Dingle at Dick Macks before purchasing a bottle to share with my father back home. It's more about the memories than anything else. I can't even recall the taste. Still a perfect 5.

About this bottle
Dingle Single Malt Batch No. 1, released in 2012, signifies Dingle's first bottling outside of its initial single barrel, which sold out rapidly at the distillery. The spirit is triple-distilled using custom pot-stills and matured in ex-bourbon barrels. It is presented as non-chill-filtered. Dingle, located on Ireland's southwestern coast, is a small distillery that produces approximately two casks of whiskey daily.

The pale color is not very inviting but it's actually better than it looks. Smooth on the palate, buttery with notes of chocolate and nuts.
Bourbon, then Ximenez and Oloroso. Dry, salty, with citrus and woody notes. Long and complex. My absolute favorite.
Elegant and smooth. Perfect for enjoying straight.
