About this bottle
The first group of Waterford's single farm bottlings for the U.S. market features Irina 2015 barley cultivated on three distinct farms. To highlight the impact of terroir, all production processes except the specific farm location were rigorously controlled. The maturation period was just under four years, using a cask combination of 35% bourbon, 25% French oak, 20% new American oak, and 20% VDN (Vin Doux Naturels, a French sweet dessert wine). Casks were filled at approximately 72% ABV, and each release is bottled at 50% ABV. The Dunbell barley was grown by Ned Murphy in Kilkenny.
