About this bottle

Waterford Cuvée Argot is now a permanent offering in Waterford's whiskey collection. This Irish single malt whiskey incorporates Irish peat and is matured in a combination of casks: 37% first-fill US oak, 19% virgin US oak, 19% French oak, and 23% Vin Doux Naturel. It has been available globally since March 2023 and has an SRP of $60.

Tonight… Waterford Cuvée Argot, Irish single malt / 47% ABV / 750 ml Waterford Cuvée Argot is a smooth and well-balanced Irish whiskey. Its nose offers fresh fruit aromas like apples and pears, with a hint of vanilla and spice, and a subtle smoky note. The taste is rich, blending those fruity notes with a touch of honey, malt, and light spice. The finish is clean and warm, leaving a gentle spice and oak flavor. Overall, it's a well-crafted whiskey that's easy to enjoy, suitable for both novice and experienced whiskey drinkers.

Very sharp and spicy but in a positive way. It leaves a very refreshing aftertaste of apple and pepper. Add a little water and it becomes very smooth while retaining the flavor.
