Waterford Bannow Island Edition 1.2 is crafted from 100% Overture barley grown by Ed Harpur near the coast of Co. Wexford. Distilled in 2016, this Irish single malt matured in first-use French and American oak for an additional three months compared to Edition 1.1. It is bottled at 50% ABV, without chill-filtration, color, or additives.

The nose is strongly scented with brine and citrus. The initial taste is salty, with notes of lemon or lime custard. As the whiskey aerates, malty characteristics become more noticeable. This is a very unique offering in the Irish whiskey category.
