Like an old leather armchair in a humidor, with notes of leather, sweet tobacco (reminds me of your old pipe tobacco from the Crown Royal bag in the filing cabinet), sweet cherries (perhaps maraschino), strawberry jam, Fig Newton cookies, very nutty, sugar-coated pecans. Beneath the rich sherry, there are tropical notes: sugar-coated dried mangoes, chocolate-dipped pineapple, maybe a hint of coconut. So intricate and complex! The sensations arrive in waves. PALATE: WOW! I could stop there. The sherry hits your palate first, and powerfully! Abundant sweet red fruit, more maraschino cherries, sweet strawberry jam; the palate delivers what the aroma promised. All the flavors from the aroma come through, and more! Sweet tobacco and leather, in the best way, complement the red fruits. A touch of cherry cough syrup, but in a good way. The nuts come through like Glosette peanuts and raisins together. Then some tropical fruit appears as the syrupy sherry settles, still covered in chocolate; the chocolate accompanies the entire palate. FINISH: Long and satisfying. After the sweet notes surge, a dryness emerges on your palate, providing contrast and a memorable conclusion to the experience.
