The source of the distillate for this bottle has changed over time, leading to significant variations in quality. A good bottle is exceptional and could be life-changing, but a bad one might have you regretting the $600-700 spent as you discard it. I strongly suggest either trying this at a bar or sharing the risk with some companions.
Easily my preferred bourbon over the last fifteen years. I regret not purchasing a case instead of a single bottle. I still have a small amount left and am constantly searching for another.
An equal blend of dusty urethane, brown sugar, oak, and unwavering fondness.
