Donte Hay 1.8

There's not much flavor present. It's oddly sweet and quite subtle. A bit of almond notes temper the fruitiness, but the almond flavor is loaded with powdered sugar. Honestly, it's quite undrinkable, and its mildness suggests it would require a huge quantity to impart flavor to any dessert or candy, which would be unhealthy. The alcohol is also noticeable. The flavor profile is disorganized. Rosewater, orange blossom, and a hint of lemon zest are even detectable. The taste is floral with a good amount of almond. It's not exceptionally pleasing, but it's acceptable for cooking. There's a diluted quality and the sugar tastes distinctly synthetic, yet that's not the full picture. It lacks the intensity of Disaronno, but it offers sweetness and almond. This is light and sweet, but it avoids major faults. There's a synthetic taste, but it's not too off-putting given that the final product is still good enough for baking and is somewhat drinkable. The sweetness ultimately becomes so plain and straightforward that it's easy to ignore.
