Aroma: orange, honey, spices for baking Flavor: oily texture, rye, pumpernickel, clove, orange Finish: warm and lingering. A few drops of water would likely enhance its character. Impressions: This bottle was a gift, and I appreciate the chance to try it. It possesses a rich, intricate baking character and genuinely evokes a sense of "harvest" and autumn. I enjoy its richness, though it's too substantial for a daily beverage. However, as a special occasion sipper, it's a fine addition to my collection of cask-strength options for a warming experience!

Nose: Subtle oak and vanilla. Palate: An initial warmth of cinnamon, transitioning to vanilla and a slight green apple tartness. A trace of cherry is also present. Finish: A lengthy finish dominated by oaky vanilla. The initial hint of cherry becomes more pronounced at the finish. Overall: This is not for the faint of heart. At 118.1 proof, it delivers a powerful initial sensation with a warmth suitable for a cool autumn evening. The flavors complement the season well. Considering the price, I anticipated greater complexity and a broader flavor spectrum. It's a commendable cask strength offering.

When you need to celebrate on Christmas. Great lingering aftertaste that continues long after the drink touches your lips. It makes me think Santa is cheerful because of the rye in his stomach, not the cookies in his mouth. Please, St. Nick, put another bottle in my stocking. It will definitely be a regular in the Rye collection. Merry Christmas.

Very vanilla-sweet aroma. The taste is very earthy. Sweet and medium finish. Second tasting, picking up notes of grain and green apple. Lingers a bit longer. Good, but a challenging price point.

This was an excellent rye. I purchased it at the distillery and kept it for Christmas. Good flavor, but quite pricey, so I'm unsure if I will purchase it again.

A discovery from Greentown. Uncorked on Christmas. Improves in aroma and taste with a few drops of water. Dry, unpleasant finish.
