Vermont Spirits No. 14 Bourbon

First, there are some hints of Grand Marnier, then an maple sugar joins with the wood's vanilla, crème brûlée... A rich nose suitable for dessert, in short. Then green wood arrives with some spices. The first half is therefore rich, oily, and sweet, but the second half focuses on barrel wood and a sweet, simple return. Overall, I quite enjoyed it as a dessert option and also appreciate that it's not an exaggeratedly sweet whisky.

The nose is sweet to me, with pepper underneath. It's light and smooth on the palate with fresh cherries over oak. A looooong finish might offer a hint of maple. I'd be keen to try a 7 or 10-year version. This is one to watch and a fun bottle to keep on hand.

Not bad. A little hot. Seems to be a young bourbon but the maple flavor does shine on through. I prefer it over ice instead of neat. A shake of bitters and you have a simple but good old fashioned.

Probably the best maple infused bourbon I have tried. 1 gallon maple per 35 mash makes less maple tasting and more about the product.

Don't let the maple syrup fool you; it's not overly sweet. I prefer it with a large ice cube, like a maple old fashioned.

Clearly has a maple taste, along with undertones of baked vanilla cake, candy, and cinnamon.
