About this bottle

Van Brunt Stillhouse, situated in Red Hook, Brooklyn, is named in honor of Cornelius Van Brunt, a foundational figure in the neighborhood's history. The distillery evokes the era preceding Prohibition when numerous distilleries lined the Brooklyn waterfront. Crafted in homage to its Scottish counterparts, it is made from 100% malted barley. Aging occurs in new barrels to preserve the spirit's bright flavors. It is exclusively sold in 375 ml bottles.

Felix Burdette 4.3

Color: Apricot with a sunburnt hue. Aroma: Light, vibrant fruits, especially white grapes, with a dusting of sweet cocoa. Taste: Herbal and crisp. A hint of light caramel accompanies soft tobacco and an earthy petrichor. Aftertaste: Slightly spicy for my preference, but a pleasant butterscotch note lingers. With water: The aroma becomes richer with honeysuckle and vanilla mingling with hot buttered popcorn. The taste grows sweeter, with cake frosting and cinnamon buns being a surprising addition. The finish is long-lasting, minty, and warm.

Aroma is very light. Very spicy, woody. Surprisingly rich!

Declan Jarrell 0.5

Unpleasant aroma. Smells like hot glue.
