UV Vodka

There's a whisper of earth on the aroma, but it's otherwise absent. The taste is rather uninteresting. It's mostly neutral, with some bitterness present. It's fairly peppery, featuring a subtle white pepper herbaceousness. The earthiness also contributes a touch of nutty richness. It's not terrible, but it's not thrilling. I'd struggle to rate it much higher than a 12 or lower than a 10. It lacks the smooth roundness and delicate grain notes found in Chopin Wheat. In contrast, this spirit is significantly more peppery and offers a pleasant hint of fruit. A faint petrol note is also detected, though it's not overwhelming. The pepper imparts a considerable harshness, making it less enjoyable than Chopin. Nevertheless, its flavors are good. I'd lean towards the 12 end of the scale rather than the 10. The earthy character suggests a potato origin for this vodka. I can't place it above a 12 due to its significant harshness, unfortunately. My initial thought about a potato base might have been mistaken. This vodka is less earthy than Kirkland French vodka (the red label) but also less rich and more harsh. It's noticeably inferior because of the substantial harshness and lack of superior flavor.

Odorless on the nose except for the ethanol, mostly flavorless with a hint of sweetness, a slowly increasing burn but not entirely unpleasant, a viscous, thick mouthfeel, with a predominantly flavorless finish, featuring sweet notes. Appears to be intended for mixing, not for straight consumption. Tasted chilled.

Upon further review, this product is comparable to veil vodka, thus not a 12. The acrid quality is a significant drawback. It possesses a more earthy and robust profile (though less herbaceous) with increased citrus notes compared to Belvedere, yet its sharpness is also more pronounced.
