[5.12.2023] Posting this late. Partly because I got quite drunk the first night I tried it. But also because May/June became too hectic to keep up. Friends brought this down during an unplanned Mother's Day visit. I ended up with the bourbon; my mother got a hydrangea. Clearly, I won. This was also the night I discovered you can pour leftover old fashioned into old fruit and create a strong sangria with it a week later. There's nothing remarkable about this whiskey, except as a gift. Admittedly, the people who gave it said the same. But they also mentioned it's become their go-to for old fashioneds, and they buy it by the case. So, if you enjoy traditional bourbon characteristics (oak, leather, saltiness, caramel), you'll appreciate how this unrefined gem mixes a classic drink.
