What a fantastic title for a Rye Whiskey! Catcher in the Rye is one of my preferred novels, and the subtle allusions to the book found throughout the label are impressive. - The aroma is vibrant with sweetness and hints of green, almost like dill. - On the palate, it offers a touch of the classic rye whiskey spice, fitting for its 100% rye composition. - It then balances that sharp spice with a delightful honey sweetness. Additional details from the producer: - (March 2020) Now aged for 5 years in 53-gallon New American Oak Barrels, an increase from the 2 years of the initial release.

This is a genuinely good grain-to-glass 100% rye. I've desired to try this for years, and it fully met my expectations. I hope the producer updates its rating, as this stuff is undoubtedly well over 3 years old now and tastes like it. It's smooth yet spicy, with hints of chocolate, mint, and cherry. The finish is long; it's among the finest ryes I've had recently.

Amazing woody oak on the aroma. It's practically like being in a woodworking shop. The taste is certainly woody. There's a strange metallic note that really ruins it. The flavor lacks depth; it's very one-dimensional.

The aroma is somewhat sweet, appearing floral. A pleasant warmth on the first taste, definitely get the floral aftertaste. I'm new to Ryes, but this one doesn't measure up to what I've tried before.

Pleasant spice and fruit notes. The finish is enduring. For such a young spirit, it is remarkably well-balanced.
