I had a wonderful time at Vom Fass this past Wednesday, celebrating my birthday with whiskey tastings. I sampled several, including this high-wheat bourbon, which I decided to purchase from the ones I tried. This is a very light bourbon, as its pale golden color might suggest. Everything about it conveys "youthfulness." It reminds me of another young bourbon I had previously – Rod and Hammers. I suspect this might be a 2-year expression. It has a light mouthfeel and flavor. Slightly sweet. I recall it tasting a bit more "robust" during the tasting, but after a full glass, its youthfulness becomes more evident. It's still somewhat enjoyable, and the experience at Vom Fass enhances it. Added 2/4/24: Reducing my initial rating of 2.5 to 2.25. Having some tonight, and I need to be honest. In my experience, bourbon should be aged for at least 4 years, otherwise, it tends to taste somewhat off.
