As a New Zealander, I always have high hopes when trying gin from my country. Typically, New Zealand gins are priced between $20 and $30 higher than similar international options, and unfortunately, most don't meet my expectations. This gin was sadly no different. It tastes acceptable neat, but I find no distinct flavors, nor is there anything lingering on the palate that makes me want another sip. It lacks anything truly original, inspired, unconventional, or even remotely noteworthy. I might be being strict, but this gin is entirely forgettable and simply gets lost among the multitude of overpriced "artisanal" brands that fail to live up to their marketing claims.

Beautifully crisp, with the kefir lime subtly present in the mid-palate. This is a high-quality, well-balanced gin that is excellent on its own or perhaps over ice. I suspect not all mixers would complement its unique flavor, so it's best enjoyed neat before adding it to a cocktail.
Fresh, crisp, with the perfect amount of lime.
