Mileage can differ from barrel to barrel, but it's a fine offering from an MGP sourced maker at a reasonable cost. The high rye content provides a bold character that seems much older than 4 years, with a substantial impact. You won't regret acquiring it if you encounter one available. Its distinctiveness helps it stand out amongst the recent wave of releases. While I haven't sampled a 6-year version, I anticipate the extra aging would add sweetness, warranting a higher price.

This 6-year aged bourbon offers great value for its price. I detected cinnamon, dark chocolate, and nutmeg. As the liquid moved to the back, notes of plum, cherry, and brown sugar appeared. Finally, on the finish, almond and rye spice. The finish was all spice but not overpowering. I liked it so much I purchased a second bottle to keep for special occasions.

The scent carries hints of Vanilla, oak, and allspice, with subtle whispers of cinnamon. On tasting, the bourbon presents a smooth texture. Notes of vanilla, nutty tones, caramel, a s'mores-like taste, and an oaky finish emerge. For a mashbill containing 36% rye, this bourbon is remarkably well-balanced, lacking the sharpness often associated with rye spirits. A true delight.

Sweet heat! Absolutely delicious. The high corn and rye mash bill makes this barrel-proof spirit one of the best bourbons I've tried. The aroma is like cherry pipe tobacco. The palate is very sweet and tobacco-forward with a spiced mince pie finish. A slight spicy burn at the end.

The aroma of this excellent spirit is RICH, with abundant caramel and butterscotch, plus some subtler strawberry notes. The palate is not as sweet, featuring baking spice and nuts. The conclusion is medium-long, providing a pleasant warmth and notes of rye spice and cloves.

A young, spicy rye. Oak is present but not prominent. Black pepper, baking spice, and leather are upfront. A faint hint of sweetness precedes a short, punchy finish. It's acceptable, but frankly, superior rye options exist within its price bracket.
