Treaty Oak Distilling Ghost Hill Texas Bourbon Whiskey Cask Strength Single Barrel

This was among the last drinks of the evening, and my memory of it is hazy. I had the chance to sample this during an extensive evening of whiskey tasting, but unfortunately, I couldn't take proper notes. I utilize the rating scale shown below. The distiller uses a 5-point scale, while I use a 10-point scale, but I'm sure you're not too intoxicated to do the conversion! 1. Abysmal - So poor I discarded it. 2. Unsatisfactory - I would not choose to drink it. 3. Poor - Contains numerous flaws. 4. Below average - Not terrible, but I'd prefer many other options. 5. Average - Simply standard. 6. Good - Superior to average. 7. Very good - Significantly above average. 8. Outstanding - In its own category. 9. Exceptional - A personal all-time favorite. 10. Flawless

Nose: notes of cherry and brown sugar, smooth oak, and a hint of spicy leather. Is it a wheated bourbon? Palate: toasted, bready, dark fruits, lovely baking spice, with a long finish of fruity oak.

I detect a significant sourdough note, much like the regular Ghost Hill. However, this one is considerably more full-bodied. It's a surprisingly good bourbon.

Smells like cinnamon red hots, tastes like butterscotch. It has a long burn. It's acceptable, but not exceptional.

Unable to identify the aroma, but the flavor is good. Smooth. I would purchase it again.

Robust and assertive with a powerful kick. Excellent for mixing.
