Trader Joe's Winter Wheat Bourbon

This isn't a tasting note, but rather a question... For those who have tried this, it appears from the comments here that it has been disappointing. Is it worth exploring for someone who enjoys wheated bourbon? I tried the Trader Joe's straight bourbon, and it was surprisingly good. If this Winter Wheat is comparable, then I'd be interested. Thank you.

I found this disappointing. A strong flavor of alcohol and light on the usual bourbon flavors. Best as a mixer. A friend's other label bourbon is less expensive and more enjoyable in my opinion.

On the nose, I get wheat, wheat, and more wheat. Nothing else. On the palate, it’s sweet with hints of corn, wheat, and nothing else. Hm, down the drain….

It's straightforward. After resting for a month following my initial tasting, it has mellowed significantly. It serves well as a mixer, and at 42% alcohol, it performs adequately.

Strong notes of tobacco or raisins. Very thin, and the finish was unappealing. Mixing it into an Old Fashioned made it tolerable, but still not enjoyable.

While it lacks bold and exciting flavors, its exceptional smoothness and taste make it a must-try for any bourbon enthusiast.
