NOSE: Vanilla, cloves, rich caramel, apples, apricots... quite typical for a first-fill cask. Difficult to identify the distillery. Mouth: Okay!!! Wow!! This is where it's surprisingly good. The texture is perfect!!! 56% ABV that tastes just right, delicate cinnamon and cloves, nutmeg, vanilla, syrupy, just the perfect representation of a well-executed first-fill bourbon cask scotch. FINISH: Medium-long, with spices, not aggressive at all, just flowing through, a magnificent release from a distillery I barely knew. It's a success!
