Nose: Tropical fruits like mango, papaya, banana, and peach are present, along with vanilla and cold lemon tea. Green apple is the most prominent. A fantastic display of tropical fruit. Palate: Sweet yet sharp, with banana, green apple, papaya, and lychee. Here, something that wasn't apparent on the nose emerges: it's a very young whisky. I notice a disconnect between the very sweet components and the bitter ones, as if some barrels didn't integrate well. The alcohol is quite noticeable; perhaps this whisky would have been more enjoyable at 40% ABV instead of 46%. Finish: Consistently bitter. Overall, I consider this a bold whisky for its maturation in rum barrels, which shines on the nose. However, on the palate and in the finish, I find it, how should I put it, flawed.... Rating 3.25 ___________________________________________________________________ Nose: mango, papaya, banana, peach, vanilla, cold lemon tea. Green apple predominates. A triumph of tropical fruit. Palate: sweet but pungent, with banana, green apple, papaya and lychees, here appears what did not show through on the nose: it is a very young whisky. I find a disconnect between the sweet part, very sweet, and the bitter part, as if there were barrels that did not blend well with each other. The alcohol is very evident, perhaps this whisky would have been more appreciable with 40% instead of 46%. Finish: persistently bitter. Nothing to say, for me a brave whisky in its aging in rum barrels, which excels on the nose, but which in the palate and in the finish I find, how to say, wrong.... Rating 3.25

Just 6500 bottles were ever made??? A pity... Truly excellent whisky - it's aromatic and fruity, with pear and vanilla notes on the aroma. The taste has flavors of cereal and sugar, akin to Frosted Flakes (otherwise known as my preferred breakfast cereal). The finish includes touches of cacao nibs. The texture is oily with a fairly extended finish. If you can overlook its well-hydrated urine-like color and the fact that obtaining this requires the assistance of Dog The Bounty Hunter... we are discussing exceptional spirit here.
A very nice, smooth finish that clearly shows rum cask influence. If you appreciate rum finishes, this one is for you!
Tasted straight. Nice heat all the way through. Sweet rum notes persist. An easy drink, I'd have it again.
Sweet aroma, sharp on the tongue, sweet finish, with a discernible rum taste.
