The nose is pleasant and seems sweeter than the taste, where the sherry influence is less noticeable. Hints of vanilla, a light body, and no alcohol sting. A very brief finish

About this bottle
Tomatin's Highland single malt, introduced in September 2016 as the youngest of its Travel Retail offerings, joins the 12, 15, and 40-year-old expressions. Initially available in Europe, its release expanded to the US and Asian markets. This entry-level bottling spent eight years maturing in standard oak barrels, with a portion having previously held bourbon and another portion sherry. It is presented at 40% alcohol by volume.

I enjoy many inexpensive whiskies... This is a prime example of cheap whisky that isn't even worth sampling. Yuck!
Potent flavor, sharp finish even after diluting. Avoid unless it's a gift.
A simple starting point. Effortless, sweet, fresh malt. Its youth doesn't detract; it's quite good.
