The label is awful and I absolutely love it! I had been considering this bottle for months, knowing it's made by Heaven Hill using their bourbon mash bill of 78% Corn, 10% Rye, 12% Malted Barley. Served neat in a glencairn. The aroma has the typical sweet burnt brown sugar/caramel, a slight nuttiness, and perhaps some cherry. The aroma carries to the palate with more nuttiness and rich brown sugar/caramel. Very easy to drink and silky on the palate. The finish is short to medium. Extremely easy to drink and very tasty. Considering it's an 86 proof and costs $14-$16 for a Liter ($10–$12 for 750ml), this is something I'd drink every day. I'd be interested in comparing it directly with the EW black label, EW 1783, and the EW Single Barrel. To see how the 86 proofers perform. Cheers, everyone!
