A distinct oaky flavor dances on the palate after sipping. It possesses a sharp bite that quickly vanishes, leaving a light aftertaste. Being seasonal in my region, I would purchase it when available, as this is a delicious example of a Japanese whisky that highlights the potential of simple ingredients and wood.
This is my first Japanese whisky. It's maltier than I, in my ignorance, previously expected. I had it with sushi, but next time I'll enjoy it after the meal.
Pleasant flavor. Sweet spirit.
