This is a well-crafted blend that starts and concludes nicely, as expected from a balanced Japanese whisky. While not quite reaching the polished quality of Hibiki, it's a decent option for AUD 99.99. I wouldn't pay its typical inflated price. Sadly, it's discontinued, so acquiring it at the 99.99 mark is worthwhile, as it surpasses Nikka from the Barrel and may be just under Hibiki Harmony, both of which are usually more expensive. It's spicy, initially a bit subdued, but finishes well, displaying the characteristic hallmarks of a Japanese whisky. It's semi-sweet, slightly salty, and creamy. I'm keen to try the Signature blend. An extra half star is awarded for the price.

I must admit, I had never heard of this one before. After some research, this is a $55 whisky, a blend (grain and malt) produced by Fuji Gotemba. Bottled at 50% ABV. This is a tasty little spirit. On the nose: Red apple, Lemon, Grain whisky aroma (cereal), Almonds, Banana cake. On the palate, it's quite delicious. Cherry at the start, then a Wasabi Spice bomb. Lots of creaminess from the grain whisky. A Rye spiciness. The finish is very long and spicy. For $55, this is a good blend. The bottle is attractive and it's an interesting dram. It's not life-changing, but it's a good offering. Overall, I rate it 83 out of 100.

This spirit is non-chill filtered and benefits from a little dilution. It has a light character, reminiscent of Japanese whisky, yet possesses sufficient richness to be enjoyable. An excellent value for the price.

One of the best affordable whiskies. Sweet and smooth, even with 50% ABV. Almost buttery aroma that I really enjoyed.

Alexandria Fierro 4.0

A very nice and potent spirit. I detect aromas of maple, chestnut cream, caramel, and vanilla. The finish is medium and strong, with an ABV of 50%.

Irvin Boykin 4.5

Gold and brown color. Very pure and mineral whisky. Woody taste in the mouth. Starts round and finishes dry. A good choice!
