Some may say it's not "authentic Japanese whisky." Nose: Bright apples, pears, and honey. A heavy, cake-like malt. Peaches and green grapes with their skins. Taste: Light pear upside-down cake with rich honey. A mild peaty and fruity finish with notes of melons and peaches. It also has a hint of bananas foster. A decent blend. The taste offers enough variety to avoid becoming dull or one-dimensional. However, I wouldn't spend over around $40 for a bottle.
