TINCUP Fourteener Mount Sneffels (Release No. 3)

Given its price, I cannot endorse it. It doesn't resemble a 14-year-old bourbon at all. There's little point in savoring the Tincup 14 YO as it has no discernible finish. I compared it to Eagle Rare 10 and Elijah Craig Small Batch; both possess a more intricate flavor profile and a longer aftertaste. I might have rated it higher if the price were between $30 and $40. In that price range, it would be more comparable to Eagle Rare 10 and Elijah Craig Small Batch. However, even then, Eagle Rare 10 and Elijah Craig Small Batch are superior drams. It's unfortunate, as I was genuinely hoping to enjoy the Tincup 14 YO.

Nose: Gentle oak and caramel, very mellow yet bright, reminiscent of orange peel. Taste: Begins quite light, almost like lemon zest, then oak gradually intensifies in a moderate wave, followed by a touch of spicy black pepper or anise, before receding into smoldering oak. Generally light and straightforward, but an enjoyable experience. Finish: A subtle finish that persists, mainly featuring bitter oak and a hint of cinnamon spice.

Aroma: Remarkable abundance of banana and caramel Flavor: Continues with the banana note and caramel sweetness Finish: Notes of baking spices and a blackberry fruitiness
