Sherry is dominant on the nose - like a boozy Christmas cake. On the palate, there's the warmth of orange marmalade and winter spices - cloves, cinnamon, mace, and then some chilli. The finish is sweet and fruity, bringing back that Christmas cake and hazelnuts. Adding water opens up more dried fruit on the nose and makes the palate softer, more delicate, like teacake with butter, before a long, raspberry jam finish.
