According to the bartender, this is a blended malt whiskey aged for six months. It's their initial whiskey release before introducing a wheated version. While young and blended, it doesn't lack appealing characteristics. On the nose, it's light with prominent vegetal notes and mild fruity undertones. Quite pleasant. The initial taste opens up but is met with a gentle bitterness that affects the overall flavor. This slightly diminishes my appreciation for the other fruity notes present. Towards the finish, a mild charred/smoky taste emerges. **The bartender mentioned it was aged in a Char 3 barrel.** The bitterness fades, allowing the fruity notes to remain intact. I sampled this neat for this review, but I suspect it would be better served chilled over ice stones or used as a mixer. It's not bad, but it shows promise. Awareness needs to be spread.
