Palate: Burnt marshmallow, black pepper, jalapeño, and oak are first, followed by cinnamon, clove, and vanilla with a touch of dill and fresh mint. Finish: Long and slightly drying with sweet cinnamon, clove, and jalapeño. Summary: While the finishing barrels dominate the aroma, the rye returns on the palate, creating a memorable and surprisingly cohesive pour. With only about 2100 bottles produced, this is a great value at $60.
